Letter From Headmistress Love

Dear parents, teachers, students, and BOLPA supporters,

This year has been a year like none other. This school term presented many changes and challenges, but; nonetheless, our scholars and teachers persevered. In the face of COVID-19, social unrest, virtual learning, and more, we came together to get the job done together as a team. Thank you, parents, for your words of encouragement, for donuts & lunch, for your patience, and for supporting everything our academy has done this year. Thank you, teachers, for your perseverance! Thank you for staying the course and continuing to educate our young eagles despite the unfamiliarities of the 2020-2021 school term. Thank you, scholars, and congratulations! You all made it through one of the most turbulent years that our world has faced, and you did it well!

Before the pandemic, God told me that our teachers and students must pray together every day corporately. So, I obeyed, and every day we sang songs of praise to God and bowed our heads before him in intercession. During this time, many team members and BOLPA families faced challenges, but we kept praying, and praying, and praying. I know now that God was preparing us for what was coming next by having us bow before his throne, speak his word over our scholars, and recite Psalms 91 and allow it to manifest in our spirits. When you go before the Lord in prayer, things shift, and changes begin to take place, even if you can't see it! Parents, this summer, I implore you to not only keep your scholars academically sharp but pray with them and over them every day and allow them to recite our daily confession and Psalms 91.

Lastly, I'd like to say thank you, God, for always being God. In the unknown, in the waiting, in the storm, and the silence, you are God and God alone. Parents and teachers, thank you, once again, for your support! I am honored to serve as BOLPA's headmistress, and I look forward to another great school year. I pray that you all have a summer break that is full of miracles!
